However, the process of painting, playing with and pushing the material, soon takes over. Adding and editing layers bring joy and struggle in the work. There are surprises in what peeks through a brush stroke and what happens when paint is scraped away. I am watching a new space evolve as lines and shapes are scraped, repainted, wiped away and painted again.
