Collection: Ash-Bob

Artist Statement:
Ash-Bob’s mixed media paintings utilize abstract forms to highlight the ever-present theme of duality and contradiction within her personal identity. She finds that expressing such vulnerabilities allows her to work through her cognitive dissonance and multifaceted personality. In her newest body of work, she explores her artistic relationship with the term “body” through an examination of perception and function surrounding the body.

Education:
Ash-Bob, a California native, found inspiration for art-making while working for a non-profit in Perth, Australia. Drawn to the idea of connecting global audiences, she carries this concept into her current work. She is now based in Philadelphia, after earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
