Artist Statement:
Attempting to quell the angry, vulgar, and obscene interpretations of contemporary life, Rita Siemienski Smith highlights the peaceful, beautiful, and spiritual qualities of man and nature in modern times. Often creating abstractions involving elements of nature, Siemienski Smith is inspired by locations both imagined and visited. Passion guides her throughout the process of exploring her materials to create her works.

Education:
Siemienski Smith graduated from Moore College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and earned her Masters from Philadelphia College of Art. Primarily showing her works in exhibitions in Pennsylvania, she also exhibits her work across the country.
