Artist Statement:
Lauren Walcott’s creation of dreamy skies develops from her incredible attention to detail in observing the world around her. While the skyscapes originate from her imagination, her renderings are incredibly lifelike. Ultimately deemed “Dreamscapes” due to their whimsical nature, Walcott’s infatuation with the sky allows her to depict light, movement, and texture beautifully, all while being influenced by emotion.
